Staycation

Over the weekend Dave & I were lucky enough to take a little stay-cation right in our own backyard with a room at the adorable Colonial Beach Inn.  We had a king size bed, free bikes & DVD rentals, a remodeled bathroom, and a hot tub, not to mention it was a beautiful weekend outside and we were one block from the beach.  After checking in, we rode our bikes over to some of the downtown tasting rooms, aka the Santa Barbara "Urban Wine Trail." Favorite stop: Municipal Winery. So, if any of you out-of-towners ever want to come up and try the wine trail or stay somewhere close to the beach, we've got you covered. *

Here's a pic of us tasting at Kalyra with our partners in crime, Billy & Meghan, who met up with us this weekend too...

*btw, here's a bunch of "Stay 2 get the 3rd Night Free" packages through May 31.  24-more.com/  We'd love to see you here.

It's Official!

Dave & I have just sent in our deposit, so May 27th, 2011 we are officially getting married!

We picked the hotel, Dreams Riviera Cancun based on the fact that it's brand new and totally gorgeous, and near Playa del Carmen Mexico. Plus, we got a great recommendation from a friend who got married at Dreams Cancun (proper). So many thanks to Holly for her recommendation.

We're working with a really awesome travel agent named Elaine and the Dreams wedding coordinator to make sure that everyone has an easy time travelin' down Mexico way.  They'll get the room block set up and have answers to any travel-related questions you can think of. I dare you to come up with something they can't handle.

I hope you're as excited as we are.  This blog/website will be the central hub for all things connected to the wedding, and also for fun or funny things Dave & I happen to be up to that we think is worth sharing with you all.  Check back often, and don't be surprised to get some update emails from me or from Elaine, our travel agent extraordinaire as the date approaches.
